I haven't done this yet, as I am waiting to see how Satoshi handles the file splitting of wrfout and wrfstat.https://code.arm.gov/lasso/lasso-wrf/-/issues/5Fix handling of staggering in crm_stat2019-04-11T17:19:14ZSherman BeusFix handling of staggering in crm_stat*Created by: wgustafson*

We need to separate the LES statistics output into their own output file to simplify & speed up data bundle post-processing. Outputting into a separate file will be straightforward. The trickier aspect will be permitting a different output frequency between wrfout and wrfstat--Satoshi has cautioned that there are counters/issues that currently prevent this from working correctly. In the interim, we can include a check that stops the model of the output intervals do not match.

Doing a regression test with the em_les default configuration, as well as wrf_faster, using doubly periodic boundaries results in a regtest failure for TKE followed by failure in the overall meteorological state several time steps later. I'm guessing there is a missing PERIODIC_XX call for tke_1 and/or tke_2, but I am not sure. Reported to NCAR on 2-Nov-2016. The problem exists in at least WRF v3.7.0 and 3.8.1.https://code.arm.gov/lasso/lasso-wrf/-/issues/1namelist.input.backup files in wrf_faster branch2019-04-11T17:19:14ZSherman Beusnamelist.input.backup files in wrf_faster branch*Created by: wgustafson*
We should stop tracking namelist.input.backup files. However, before deleting them we should make sure to get the correct namelist.input file in ./run.

The Morrison MP scheme in the wrf_faster branch has been changed to a different version from Hugh. Currently, the default Morrison scheme has been overwritten so that the mp_physics=10 setting chooses the modified scheme instead of the default. This will cause confusion whenever we release the code to users. We need to move the modified scheme to a unique mp_physics number and replace the default Morrison scheme at 10.
This is a low priority as of Oct. 2015, but will need to be done at some point after we decide which version of Morrison to use.
